Old City Eats Block Party
Old City District showcases its thriving dining scene to kick off the summer season.
Kick Off Summer with the Old City Eats Block Party
Old City's signature summer kickoff event, the Old City Eats Block Party, returns on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 5-9 p.m.! The historic 2nd Street corridor between Market and Chestnut Streets will once again transform into an open-air celebration of Old City's vibrant and diverse dining scene. New this year, Old City Eats expands its footprint to include the 100 block of Chestnut Street, bringing the block party experience beyond 2nd Street for the first time and offering even more of Old City's culinary corridor for guests to explore.
The popular, one-night-only block party marks the official start of summer in one of Philadelphia's most iconic culinary destinations, featuring specialty dishes, signature cocktails, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun in a dining al fresco atmosphere — all as the city gears up for one of the most celebrated summers in its history.
Check out the list of participating businesses below. Whether they're located on 2nd Street or hosting an al fresco pop-up, stop by and enjoy what they have to offer! Check back for updated specials.
