First Friday @ Arch Enemy Arts
ARCH ENEMY ARTS invites you to celebrate three exciting new exhibitions the evening of October 6th. Work by ALEXANDER REISFAR and CHRIS HAAS will be on display alongside the 2023 HI-FRUCTOSE group exhibition, curated by the preeminent New Contemporary Art magazine.
ALEXANDER REISFAR creates soulful, symbolic paintings that explore death, destruction, and the human experience. Dark and foreboding yet deeply alluring, his work implores viewers to consider humanity’s fragile state of chaos, the tragedy of our ruin, and the potential beauty held within the recesses of demise.
CHRIS HAAS is a mixed media sculptor, who transfigures found skulls, replicas, and vintage objects into unearthly trophies from another world. The mysterious and captivating quality of Haas’ work can be attributed to the artist’s seamless use of assemblage–embellishing organic objects with a variety of media–in a manner that is beautifully wrought and incredibly convincing.
HI-FRUCTOSE began as a quarterly print art magazine, founded by artists, Attaboy and Annie Owens in 2005. Hi-Fructose focuses squarely on the art which transcends genre and trend, assuring readers thorough coverage and content that is informative and original. Hi-Fructose showcases an amalgamation of new contemporary, emerging as well distinguished artists, with a spotlight on awe inspiring spectacles from round the world.
