King In the Field, Group Exhibition

The Old City Jewish Arts Center (119 N. 3rd St., Old City, Phil.) welcomes you to a new art exhibition entitled "King in the Field" " from August 1st to the 31st.
Displayed paintings are of Fields & Landscapes by a group of Artists This series represents the Fields and landscapes in several moods.

"King in the Field" is especially appropriate in this Hebrew month of " Elul" which precedes the High Holidays. Described in Jewish teachings as a time when "the King goes out to the field to meet with His people, greeting them with kindness and tenderness, displaying a joyous face to all." In our present day slang we would call this a date.
First Friday reception, August 4th 5-9 PM Followed by "Taste of Shabbat" A Traditional Shabbat Dinner starting 9pm.

Sunday - Thursday 12-5 PM and by appointment
