Our Lady of Radium: Music Inspired by Marie Curie
The Science History Institute invites you to experience Our Lady of Radium, a live concert event inspired by the radiant life of Marie Curie. Created and performed by goth-folk duo Charming Disaster, this musical epic explores moments in Curie’s life and research, from the ancient folklore of the mountains where her radioactive ores were mined, to the heart-pounding romance between Marie and Pierre, to the deadly consequences of a lifetime spent with radium. Along the way you’ll meet “Radium Girls,” duelists, alchemists, and more! Afterwards, join us for refreshments and a reception with the artists.
Admission is free, but registration is required. Space is limited, so RSVP today!
