Their’s 
A photographic elevation of non binary and gender queer poc

This series is an ongoing project that seeks to capture what it means to be a gender queer person of color in today's rapidly diversifying yet disturbingly polarizing modern world. In popular media gender queer characters and characters of color are often tokenized and seldom given the privilege of narrative lead. This project looks to not only amplify  visibility for non-binary and gender non conforming people of color but to even go so far as to place them on a photographic pedestal. 

Individuals were asked to pose in and around their homes. Subjects were invited to wear what they felt expressed their personal sense of individuality. This process is meant to encourage a sense of collaboration and mutual respect for people on both sides of the camera. 

This series debut is intended to represent less of a capstone for the project but rather an open invitation for more gender non conforming people of color to collaborate in the effort for broadening representation.
