New Old City Businesses Open in 2023

PHILADELPHIA - Old City District is excited to welcome new businesses and organizations to the neighborhood in 2023, with more scheduled to open this year!

The new businesses and organizations include (in alphabetical order): Ava Karl Salon, Cafe Tolia, City Fitness, Demure Bridal, Gong Cha, Hangry Joe's, Liberty & Co., Lilly's Ferry, Nepal-Tibet Handicrafts, Omnia Spa, Paradigm Art Gallery, ROSEonthird, and Wax & Wine.

The new businesses join a neighborhood known for its arts and design community, a thriving dining scene, a fast-growing wedding industry, and hundreds of independently owned small businesses. Old City welcomed 31 new businesses in 2021, and 31 new businesses in 2022.

New this year, Boxbar, 241 Race Street, unveiled a complete redesign in February. Fringe Bar (formerly La Peg), 140 N. Columbus Boulevard, also unveiled a complete redesign in April!

A few Old City businesses moved to new locations in the neighborhood, including Cafe Square One, Charlie's, and SuitShop!
